The resurfaced clip was recently shared on Reddit in the subreddit “Tippy Taps,” titled, “Good boy patiently waits for dad to get his ball since he is not allowed to go in the road.” It was shared by Redditor @Due-Joke2986 on March 24, and it has already garnered 15,300 upvotes.

According to Pet Keen, 8 percent of dog owners have taken their dogs to obedience classes. A large percentage of owners of canines, 73 percent, have used a type of training method with their dog as well.

The original video is from a viral TikTok shared by @kimspencer_, or Kim Spencer, on June 24, 2021. The original video received 5.3 million views and 312,000 likes. The TikToker filmed as a man walked over to their dog, Luna, as she sat near the edge of a street in a neighborhood.

The video zoomed in for a better look at Luna waiting patiently by the side of the road for her ball that was out in the roadway, and the dog just sat there without any intention of going into the street as she seemingly followed road safety rules.

The man put a hand up, and the dog continued staying put as the man picked up the ball and threw it in the opposite direction in the grass. Luna then proceeded to run after the ball before the video ended.

The TikToker also has other videos of Luna’s training in action as well. In a comment, the creator also said: “For those asking! We did puppy classes, did a lot of repetition, didn’t yell or hit, and rewarded when she did well.”

Almost 200 comments came in over Luna and her good behavior on Reddit, and people couldn’t get enough of this well-trained canine. “Are you kidding me?” a Redditor said. “What a good boy!”

Some wondered how to go about training a dog like Luna. “Any idea how to train your dog to do this?” a user asked. “YouTube videos didn’t work for me.”

More praise came in for the well-behaved pooch. “Great training of the dog!” a viewer said. “My dog would never just sit and wait like that.”

Another Redditor admitted it “sickens” them when they see people that have dogs that are “untrained,” adding, “Most dogs are fairly intelligent and easy to train. I’ll be d**ned before I have a dog yank me on a leash or not listen to my commands.”

Yet another viewer wished they could teach the behavior to their own canine. “She’s a heeler who has no concept of fear, and I’m afraid she’ll break free one day and get hit by a car,” they said.

One viewer was so impressed they called the content “absolutely the best video ever posted in the history of posting!”

However, not everyone appreciated what they saw. “Blows my mind people let their dogs play in an unsecured location,” a Redditor said. “Doesn’t matter how well-trained your dog is. All it takes is one rabbit and the dog is off.”

TikToker @kimspencer_ told Newsweek: “Many people assume there’s an electric fence or she is punished for doing things, and that’s not the case. She is just such a sweetheart and so well-behaved! We’re so lucky.”
