Jonas has dropped by SNL’s famous Studio 8H inside New York City’s Rockefeller Center before. However, his upcoming appearance on Saturday marks his first time serving as SNL host. In addition to hosting duty, Jonas has also signed up to perform on the SNL stage, too.

The last time Jonas visited SNL was back in 2019 when he had a mini-reunion with his brothers Kevin and Joe Jonas. The trio performed as their popstar band the Jonas Brothers and performed their hits “Cool” and Burning Up." The group did appear in one sketch during their visit. They were joined by Alex Baldwin, who played their older brother Gary Jonas, in the sketch “Fourth Jonas.”

Nick Jonas also made a surprise appearance when he joined Tove Lo on SNL during her performance in 2016. Before that, Nick Jonas and his siblings made their SNL debut as musical guests back in 2009.

Nick Jonas’ SNL hosting debut comes following the release of his latest single, “Spaceman,” on Thursday. The 28-year-old singer is also gearing up for the 20th season of The Voice, which premieres on NBC on Monday. Jonas will replace former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani for a second time and help guide aspiring singers throughout the musical competition.

Who will perform?

Nick Jonas is on double-duty, which means he will host the show and perform. It wouldn’t be a stretch to expect Nick Jonas to perform his newest single. He may also belt out one of his old favorites too, or possibly perform another track from his forthcoming album — also titled Spaceman — which is set to release on March 12.

When does SNL air?

SNL will air during its usual timeslot on NBC on Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Can SNL be live-streamed?

The show will be available to live stream on NBC’s website and app with a cable provider login, and it can be accessed from any smart device. Those with pay-for services like Hulu +Live, Sling TV and YouTube TV can also catch the show in real-time through their subscriptions.

Meanwhile, those only interested in the best clips of the night can wait until after the show to view them on SNL’s YouTube. As always, folks can keep up with all the SNL banter by following the social media hashtag, #SNL
