Viewers of the Fox singing competition were left frustrated on October 12 when the fourth episode of Season 8 was delayed due to an unforeseen shake-up.

Andrew Lloyd Webber had been confirmed to join Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke on the celebrity panel for a special episode dedicated to his famous musicals, which include Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita.

But, on the night it was due to air, the Andrew Lloyd Webber-themed episode was obstructed by a Major League Baseball playoff game between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies.

Game 2 of the series was held up due to rainy weather and though Fox initially told fans that The Masked Singer was still coming at a later time on the same night, the game ran on later than anticipated and the singing competition never aired.

Is ‘The Masked Singer’ On Tonight?

Fox has now confirmed that The Masked Singer episode that was supposed to be broadcast on October 12 will be shown on October 19.

The show’s official account revealed the news on Twitter and fans were quick to rejoice on the social media site.

One The Masked Singer fan wrote: “So far, the weather is clear. #TheMaskedSinger [ALW] night is tonight. Keep your fingers crossed for this to really happen tonight!”

Another viewer questioned: “Sooo. Masked Singer wednesday take 2? #themaskedsinger.” A third stated “@MaskedSingerFOX @FOXTV and @hulu Please no more rain delays please no more rain delays please no more rain delays,” alongside a series of fingers-crossed emojis.

Another responded to McCarthy Wahlberg, who reposted a tweet from The Masked Singer’s account, celebrating the return of the series after its one-week break

“I can tell this is going to be good!!! If feels like #TheMaskedSinger hasn’t been on in forever,” they wrote.

The Masked Singer fans will get to see Maize, Mermaid and Robo Girl take the stage when the show makes its return to Fox on Wednesday evening.

Ahead of their performances, some clues were revealed for each of the costumes which led some viewers to believe that they were already able to work out the identities of the famous faces behind Maize and Mermaid.

On social media, fans predicted that a clue about butter hinted that Maize could be Paula Deen or The Office star Melora Hardin.

Meanwhile, many speculated whether the Mermaid costume was a hint at new The Little Mermaid leading lady Halle Bailey, or even her older sister Chloe.

Another of the Mermaid’s clues was a seashell, which some fans thought could be a nod to Sister, Sister actress Tia Mowry—whose twin sister Tamera appeared on The Masked Singer as Seashell in Season 5.

So far on The Masked Singer Season 8, William Shatner, Montell Jordan, Chris Kirkpatrick, Eric Idle, Jeff Dunham, Daymond John, and The Brady Bunch stars Mike Lookinland, Christopher Knight and Barry Williams have been revealed as the voices behind the masks.

Only Harp has managed to remain unmasked, though fans are convinced she is Glee actress Amber Riley.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
