The 5-9 point guard for the Celtics is doing just fine at his current height — he made the All-Star game this season — but in the sport of basketball, you can never be too tall. That’s why when Thomas saw that astronaut Scott Kelly grew two inches during his year in space, he got ideas.

Although going to space does make you taller, it may not be all that healthy. 

Per CNBC:

Other health problems people run into by spending too much time in space include brittle bones, weakened muscles, smaller heart and an increased risk of getting cancer. So maybe Thomas should just stay on Earth for now.
