GAME PREVIEW

FC Goa have been the most enthralling side in the ISL this season. With 18 goals in five games, its entertainment unlimited with The Gaurs is in action. In their last three games alone, they have pumped in 14 goals.

Sergio Lobera will certainly want his side to continue in the same vein. The good news for Goa is that striker Adrian Colunga too has got off the mark in the last game. Manuel Lanzarote certainly has been the most impressive alongside Ferran Corominas, who leads the scoring charts. Corominas picked up a muscle spasm in the last game and Lobera has to decide whether he shall risk him into the starting eleven.

If there is one issue with this Goan team is the fact they have leaked in a goal in every game. Laxmikant Kattimani’s performance between the sticks has been poor and it will be interesting to see how he performs this time around.

Ahmed Jahouh put in a commendable shift against Delhi and much will be expected from the Moroccan against Pune.

FC Pune City have had a mixed ISL campaign with three wins and as many losses. The good news is that Marcelinho has recovered from a bout of fever and is very much ready to start.

Adil Khan has been in sublime form having scored in their last two matches. He has put in a good defensive shift in midfield as well. Much would depend on how Marcos Tebar performs as winning the midfield battle is the key.

Emiliano Alfaro will continue to be a threat upfront being ably supported by Diego Carlos.

Vishal Kaith has improved after his error-prone performance against Chennaiyin FC and that has certainly strengthened their defence. Coach Ranko Popovic is a shrewd planner as he almost got his plan to stifle Bengaluru FC spot on before Baljit Sahni let him down.

Who do you think will win the tie – FC Goa or FC Pune City?
