Islanders Josh Bailey Scores Highlight Goal Against Sharks

During the second period of the Islanders’ game on Saturday against the San Jose Sharks, Bailey intercepted a pass from forward Joe Thornton. With the puck deep in San Jose’s zone, Bailey then danced around Joe Pavelski, before executing a self-pass between his own legs to beat Sharks goaltender Aaron Dell.

Bailey’s goal earned the approval of teammate Josh Ho-Sang, a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Bailey is tied with Brock Nelson and Casey Cizikas for the team lead in points.
