The investigation of Clark Clifford and Robert Altman, the pair who fronted–unwittingly, they say–for BCCI’s takeover of First American Bankshares. Prosecutors say they now have documents showing that questionable BCCI stock deals with foreign insiders were similar to deals that yielded Clifford and Altman a $9.8 million profit (they deny any wrongdoing).
