Watt, a four-time first-team All Pro, played through the injury late in the season before exacerbating it in the Texans’ wild-card loss to the Chiefs.
“It’s something we’ve been dealing with for six or seven weeks now,” Watt told the Houston Chronicle after the loss. “Our training staff has done a great job getting me out there on the field so I can play. (Saturday) was kind of a breaking point.”
Watt is expected to be fully healthy when the Texans’ training camp kicks off this summer.
