Jacksonville owns the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, and it’s basically set in stone that they will take Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence with that selection. Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess as to what the team will do, as the team needs plenty of upgrades to get back to the form they demonstrated when they nearly went to the Super Bowl back in 2018.

Jaguars NFL Draft needs

Quarterback: Gardner Minshew has shown some promise, but the Jaguars will almost certainly take Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick. Tight end: The Jaguars will need to surround Lawrence with weapons. They have a good receiving corps but need a top tight end to round it out. Offensive line: Cam Robinson is playing on the franchise tender at left tackle. The Jags need someone to compete with him and potentially replace him. Defensive line: Jacksonville averaged 1. 1 sacks per game last year, tied for the fewest in the NFL. They need better pass rushers on the edge and at defensive tackle. Safety: The Jaguars filled a need at cornerback by signing Shaquill Griffin. Now, they need to add a safety to pair with Rayshawn Jenkins to upgrade the back end of their defense.
