Former Duke center Jahlil Okafor told Sports Illustrated he isn’t worried about being the first player selected next month.

“I don’t know that I should go No. 1,” Okafor said in an interview that will air Wednesday. “I don’t care. I just want to go to the right environment for me and the right team. I think the hype about No. 1 is more for the fans.”

Okafor is thought to be one of two players in contention for the top pick, along with Kentucky forward Karl-Anthony Towns.

The second pick belongs to the Lakers, which may have something to do with why Okafor doesn’t seem too concerned about the possibility of being selected second overall.
