Jamaal Charles injured his knee in Sunday's Week 8 home game against Cleveland. He was initially declared questionable to return as the Chiefs were clinging to a 20-17 third-quarter lead on the Browns.

He was replaced in the lineup by rookie Knile Davis. Charles, who has seen the biggest workload in the NFL this season, had 89 yards on 14 more touches before he left. But Chiefs' starter returned to the game later in the third quarter.
