Bills coach Rex Ryan reportedly dined with Collins Monday night, and he’s not the only member of the NFL trying to make a case.

The team addressed its offensive line woes by selecting two players in the second round — Penn State tackle Donovan Smith and Division III center Ali Marpet. Still, Collins’ talents would be appreciated as the Bucs hope to keep their No. 1 pick safe.

Collins was projected to be a first-round pick before Louisiana police sought him for questioning about the murder of a pregnant woman.

He is not viewed as a suspect in the case, and still isn’t after talking with police Monday, but teams were hesitant to take a chance on him during the draft. Since he entered his name in the draft and was not selected, he’s not eligible to re-enter next year’s draft. Instead, he has to sign with a team as an undrafted free agent.
