You might think the NFL would then allow those teams to wear their “My Cause My Cleats” in Week 14 to make up for the week they missed, but you’d be giving the league too much credit. This is the “No Fun League” after all.

Cornerback Jason McCourty plans on wearing his special cleats, even though the NFL told him he can’t.
“I believe you should be [allowed], so I’ll be wearing mine for the game,” he told ESPN.com. “There are a lot of things I guess they should or shouldn’t do, it’s just one of those things where it is what it is. I guess at some point there were going to be two teams at any given week that wouldn’t be playing, so you kind of get screwed in that sense. That just happened to be us.”
Maybe in the future the league can schedule “My Cause My Cleats” on a week where every team is playing. Or, they could, you know, get rid of the stupid rule in the first place.
