Most of Thursday was spent reminiscing over the great Bryant moments. The 81-point game. The back-to-back-to-back titles. The many, many highlights. But one talking head decided to go the opposite direction and trash Bryant’s legacy. That talking head was Fox Sports’ Jason Whitlock.

“(Kobe Bryant) destroyed a franchise. His narcissism and selfishness destroyed a franchise,” Whitlock said while filling in for Colin Cowherd on “The Herd.”
Whitlock goes on to say more of the same, adding that Bryant isn’t the best Lakers player of all time (which is another argument, but OK).
His comments didn’t sit very well with NBA fans who pointed out Bryant’s winning five championships in 20 years isn’t really “destroying” a franchise.
