Ella, 7, and Leo, 4, already were given a Bandolero car with their names on it at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and now the children of the four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion have been named grand marshals for the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the track announced Thursday.

The children will announce the most famous four words in motorsports, “Drivers, start your engines,” and participate in pre-race ceremonies April 19.

“In appreciation for his many contributions to our company and our region; and to commemorate his final season competing for a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship, we couldn’t think of more befitting grand marshals for our Food City 500 than Jeff’s children,” Food City president Steven C. Smith said in a statement.

Despite two poles this season, Gordon sports an average finish of 20th. After a week off for Easter, NASCAR heads to Texas Motor Speedway where Gordon will look for his second win at the track.
