Kyle Larson was leading the Pocono Green 250 when NASCAR ordered cars off the track, putting the race in rain delay. The race was on Lap 54, past its halfway point, making the scheduled 100-lap event official. Once NASCAR canceled the race, Larson was the winner.

Saturday’s accident brought to mine an infamous incident during the 2012 Daytona 500, when driver Juan Pablo Montoya’s car ran into the rear of a jet dryer. The resulting fireball dwarfed Saturday’s flames.

This is the first year the Xfinity Series has run at Pocono.

Earlier in the race, drivers Ryan Sieg and Ryan Reed got into a crash the led to a tussle.

Sieg said Reed kept jabbing off with his mouth so I figured I’d shut it up for him," according to Motorsport.com.

Sieg called Reed “an idiot.” Reed’s reaction?

“If he’s mad at me, I’ll listen,” Reed said. “We can give each other room or go out there and wreck each other, but I don’t see what good that does.”

Sieg, a driver-owner, now must repair his car in time for the next race, on June 11 at Michigan.
