Jets Bench Geno Smith After Terrible First Half Vs. Chargers

After a horrendous first half that saw the Jets down 21-0 Sunday, Smith was benched in favor of veteran backup Michael Vick.

Smith, a second-year quarterback who’s struggled again in 2014, completed just four of 12 passes for 27 yards and an interception in the first half.

The Jets needed a spark, and they hope Vick can provide just that.
