At 6-8, 270 pounds, Jets rookie Mekhi Becton is a mountain of a man and Sam Darnold’s guardian angel for the foreseeable future. At his size, suffice it to say, Becton probably spends a lot of time getting custom suits made — or, in this case, jewelry.
In August, Becton showed off a massive chain and pendant: a stylized ticket, encrusted entirely in diamonds and gold with “BIG TICKET ADMIT ONE” across the front.

On the closing day of Jets training camp, Mount Mekhi offered insight into the tag price on the piece.
“I go by ‘Big Ticket,’ so I had to have a ‘Big Ticket’ piece,” Becton said Thursday, via the New York Post. “I would’ve had it for the draft, but we didn’t have a draft. So, it was prolonged to now.”
Becton said the chain cost him a cool $175,000, though TMZ notes that the pendant features 120 carats of diamonds and more than a kilo of gold. TMZ says the chain is worth more than $400,000, despite Becton’s receipt saying less.
It’s no problem for Becton’s wallet, though: The rookie tackle signed a four-year deal worth more than $18 million, with an $11 million signing bonus. He’s got the money to spend.
